Only The Poets + Vs. Robots + Sq Bomb + Black Sonic Revolver

Only The Poets-indie pop moderne with big whooshing choruses and an all round stadia-slaying sound in the same ballpark as Bastille without really sounding too much like em, polished radio-friendly production too, Vs. Robots- spacey synth sounds and quirky proggish passages that recall Calvert era Hawkwind and melancholic Rush meets Muse alt rock. Quite adventurous and definitely experimenting with the forms but commercial all the same, fine work. Sq Bomb-Odd but compelling fuzz guitar driven, wonky Garage punk, has an early Beefheart feel, with an electro interface, though the female vocal is coming from a post punk angle, interesting stuff. Black Sonic Revolver-Manchester based indie rock combo, tunes have a pleasing psychedelic sheen with a bluesy undertow, decent hooks and plenty of conviction delivery-wise.
