Gig Description

Dogtooth 3 piece ace face rocknroll¦over driven loud and in yer face indie rock with Scally nuances perhaps more Las/Cast than Roses/Oasis The Real People may also be a touchstone here. Young kids with a mod look and a gift for a raucous pop workout. With their EP on 10 inch vinyl out inn the shops just about now and an instore gig at HMV, things are really happening for Dogtooth. The Turn post-punk infused indie rock a-la Magazine with an occasional rhythmic and rocking blast of something a bit rawer, early Clash, The Jam and Wire maybe. Cats On The Beach– New wave pop with driving guitars and insistent melodies, a bit like The Only Ones, but with a louche Pete Doherty-esque vocal and some well placed mournful trumpet on their less edgy slower tunes, shambling in the right way, Romantic, poetic, brilliant Bugbear veterans outta school of Thee Deadtime Philharmonic. Prowles-Stirring alt rock with good use of the ‘ol light ‘n shade dynamic, a juxtoposition of highly melodic passages with glacial guitars and heavier grunge infused passages, decent hooks too.
