Doors open:
About the gig-

Ryse-3 piece rocking a gnarly alt rock built on taut riffology a la Royal Blood but decidely less ‘rawk’- part way between them and early Bloc Party and a bit of Muse for sure. Decent. Grace Solero- picture PJ Harvey getting rocknroll fury and blonde ambition with major grunge lunging and post Hole righteous raucous rocking out. The lovely Ms Solero and her equally lovely punking perfecto band make a right royal noise.MeMe Detroit– Female fronted grunge rock. A distillation of Nirvana and early P.J Harvey via Blondie, sharp incisive tunes and a convincing lead vocal The Caterpillars- Toe tappin’ rockabilly from italy, fired up covers of Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Stray Cats. plus they’re own tunes.

RYSE rock // rock&roll -

RYSE are a small, three piece Alternative Rock band with a massive sound.
Formed in the heart of Guildford, the band's ambitious take on riff heavy music flirts with modern progressive rock and anthemic choruses. Compared to the twisted child of Biffy Clyro and Rage Against the Machine, raised on a diet of Nirvana-like angst and Radiohead-esque melodies, RYSE take glorious rock and roll back to a mainstream audience. With lyrics fuelled from obsessions with the darker side of modern technology, to the class divide and spiritual existence, RYSE write from the heart and head, directly to their fans. Since forming the band has performed across the UK and throughout the capital, including dates at some of the South-East’s most iconic venues (such as London’s The Fiddler’s Elbow, O2 Academy Islington, and Guildford’s Boileroom). After signing to 'Little Bear Records', (an independent record label co-founded by RYSE's Ricky Cooksie) 2018 will see the band playing shows nationwide, alongside radio appearances, interviews and further single releases, making sure they are one to watch in the months ahead. Debut self-titled EP available to stream now: https://open.spotify.com/album/6OKqtECgJGSjcy6S47oe2R Music and lyrics by Ricky Cooksie, songs by RYSE. Ricky Cooksie: Lead Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards & Production Jake Duncan: Drums, Percussion & Backing Vocals Chris Jones: Bass Guitars & Backing Vocals

MeMe Detroit rock // indie -

Sitting somewhere between sleazy grunge and power indie, MeMe Detroit oozes sultry guitar driven hooks with a head turning vocal that will bring out the 90s alt rocker in you and shake you up with a modern day swagger. Since her 2016 debut album release "Live to Love You'll Love to Live', MeMe has been pulling in fans with a magnetism that is both eloquent yet effortlessly cool. Her latest single "How she runs" written for Writer/Director Steven Murphy's feature film "My Saviour" was released on July 28th.
The (requested) 'eighties feel' track weaves a tale of lust, love and fear of rejection, inspired by the UK nightlife MeMe witnessed from behind the booth working as a DJ. "...'How She Runs’ shows MeMe as both silently observational, and fearlessly immersed. It’s exciting." - Tracks of the week - Gigslutz "MeMe has a gripping energy that grabs your gaze and holds it." - Leigh Sanders - Express & Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - "How she runs" - Grrrls with guitars "......an artist that is writing way beyond her years..." - Adam Zindani - Stereophonics"..It feels like you are thrown back to the 90's Hearing elements of 'Babes in Toyland' and 'PJ Harvey'! ..." - Luke Johnson - Amen, No Devotion. Alongside preparation for the next single release this November and pre-production for the next E.P release in 2018, you can catch MeMe Detroit on the live circuit as she tours in conjunction with the new releases

The Caterpillars rock // rock&roll -
