Denzeity

When the history of Denzeity is written, it will recall a key moment was when Simon met Mike Gibbons and pursuaded him to join the band. It already included PaigeMarcel and a keyboard player called Mark who would later be replaced by Gary Cunningham but he was after a second guitarist. Mike Gibbons was a professional session guitarist who wasn't looking for a band but was so impressed with History that he decided to make contact.

Mike's contribution was more than playing guitar through. As a proficient session guitarist and former lecturer in music theory, Mike pushed for some major arrangement changes to make the songs stand out even more. He pursuaded Simon to radically alter the arrangment of 'If You Can't Join Them Beat Them'. It turned what was a good album track into a likely hit. He then did the same with Chasing Rainbows and then Under Siege. Simon's songs with Mike's arrangments appeared to be a killer combination, together with a band capable of making them sound professional.

Members

Each member of Denzeity is an accomplished musician in their own right and whilst the combined talents equals something greater again, it's worth seeing what each of these indiciduals brings to the group.

LOW BOY NOISE

Having played hundreds of shows as Mysterious Blues Experience, Low Boy drops a gear, pretenses and any hope of commercial success. Like your dad and his shiny new sports car, this power duo play like their definitely making up for a lack of something. Kevin S. Flee and Liam Cubes will beat you into submission with big filthy rock numbers, stoner dirges and tales of love, loss and the difficulties involved in back seat copulation.

Armed with only a guitar, drum kit and a selfish need to express themselves, this stunningly attractive twosome throw everything they have at making you move. How they create such a wall of noise is either testament to their skill, or dodgy feedback from a loose connection. An inexpert blend of garage rock, punk, stoner, rock n roll and depressing balladry, Low Boy wants, nay, needs to make you move.

This is where the reviews would be quoted, a la some fancy movie poster, but seeing as this is a whole fresh project we'd have to use old reviews which would be tad dishonest. Suffice to say everyone in the entire world loved us. As for Low Boy, here's what those in the know have to say:

"Not as terrible as I thought they'd be" - Liam Cubes

"This had the potential to be much worse" - Kevin S. Flee

KNOCK IT OFF
