Doors:

Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Running With Wolves- female fronted hard rock/metal- grunge and groove rock with a raunchy vocal…comparable to Grace Solero with Zepnuances. Kick it fine style.   Grunge and groove rock orientated with a raunchy vocal…something of Soundgarden in here too. Rip it up.  The Froot- Excellent Young band outta Hull, all hirsute and happening with a psych mariachi bluesology…something of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac meets Love perhaps? Or a more progressively inclined Allah Las… groovy as fark, and not afraid to get some old school rock Olympian vibesflowing alongside their luxuriant locks. .The Brazen-  in thrall to the epic end of The Verve and The Music and all that nicely narco enabling Northern monkey widesceen stuff….there’s some genuine quality to the performance, big emoting vocals, strings tweaking those emotions, considered playing and ace arrangements. Elbow meets Oasis at their more serious with a choirester quality to the vocal up front. Good work.Blue Canary– navel gazing psychedelically tinged songwriter of Lennon like hue, as evinced in the raspy vocal, some beat music cadences and a folkish feel, what with the nice swooping refrains. The Otherness- Argentina is a country where people really believe in rock n roll. Watching The Otherness live you can see this – they are on the tightrope between The Beatles in Hamburg and the Ramones first album – that purity of vision and they are damned good at it. The Otherness are touring UK with a fantastic feedback from the young rock and roll, pop and soul British audiences all over the country.” (John Robb, “Louder Than War) “Authentic, quality, passionate rock, these guys really mean it.” (Chris Hawkins, presenter BBC Radio 6 Music)
