About the gig-

Beat Goes Bang– After performing with The Beat and releasing three albums in the early 80’s, which included a string of hit singles such as ‘Mirror in the Bathroom’, ‘Tears of a Clown’, ‘Ranking Full Stop’ and ‘Too Nice to Talk To’, original drummer Everett Morton (the beat behind The Beat- and a fantastic percussive talent) has now taken it a step further and introduced a brand new incarnation of that feeling and sound, joining forces with former Dexys Midnight Runners and General Public keyboard player Mickey Billingham and Neil Deathridge of International Beat with The Beat Goes Bang. As you might expect from Everett’s deft reggae chops at the drumstool, BGB channel The Beat, but with a more laid back and soulful reggae vibe on board. Perfect Summer music.
