Gig Description

The After Party of the Oxjam Camden Festival 2018 is happening on 28th October at the Dublin Castle venue in Camden, London. Simon Alexander Göthberg was born and raised on the west coast of Sweden. With a sound influenced by greats like Jeff Buckley and Neil Young to more modern songwriters like Hozier and Matt Corby, Simon Alexander is trying to make an impact on the folk/indie scene bringing profound lyrics and heartfelt melodies. His debut EP titled – Won’t Be Found – was released world wide on February 15th. http://spoti.fi/2HsGxID HellShed claim to hail from a shed in the middle of a forest near a village called Rottenham in Suffolk, England. They are three gnarled blues musicians who call themselves Professor O.B.Scene, Vicar Du Bruit, and Popa B.A.D. You can place HellShed in the same petroleum fuelled blues-rock town as ZZ Top, Seasick Steve, and The Black Keys. http://smarturl.it/hellshed A native of East Sussex, Natalie Bouloudis first got her musical education in childhood, having played clarinet in jazz bands and had a few guitar lessons at school. She decided three years ago to launch her music into the public sphere and soon she played venues like Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston and Green Note in Camden, quickly building a loyal fan base that enabled her to successfully crowd fund her debut record. For Natalie, playing live is an important consideration in the songwriting process, a process which focuses centrally on generating atmosphere and intimacy. Her debut EP ‘Dead Sea Scripts’ was all recorded live at Wax Studios in London and produced by Robert Strauss.https://soundcloud.com/nataliebouloudis Amy Vix is a singer-songwriter based in London. Some have described her sound as ‘americana’, based on her country-style vocals and reverb-heavy electric guitar tone. Her strong attraction towards electric guitar was inspired by listening to blues guitarists such as John Mayer and Peter Frampton whilst growing up. Her songwriting has also been influenced by a variety of artists including Foy Vance, Gabrielle Aplin, and bands such as Nothing But Thieves and DON BROCO. https://open.spotify.com/artist/1kQ1JUunZgVFjhn6nzMAw5/Human in Bloom blend elements of electronic and psychedelia with garageband roots to self-produce a record that both kicks a punch and swallows you in space. Zoom out from the rat-race and all its addictive conditioning and you just might see things differently. This idea has sculpted human in bloom’s debut album, Altered Beings Being Altered, into a series of snapshots loosely following a human lifeform as it battles onwards for freedom and meaning. https://soundcloud.com/humaninbloom The Gulps. Five lads in a band. Two guitars, a bass, a leading voice, and the incessant beating of the drums. Five very rebellious nuttcases who play and run through the lively and dark streets of London. Built in the heart of Camden, with the non-stop jamming of music. The art of rock and roll with a cheeky twist, knowing faces and a lot to say. https://open.spotify.com/album/4KfN1hvTzBjVrjgyRDcJSHighly regarded London rock-trio BELLA FIGURA have built a strong London following with a sound that has cut deeply into the London scene with cerebral poetic lyricism but also has blown away audiences with its sheer raw power. Tickets are £4 at the door and donations are welcome, as all proceeds to Oxfam!
