The New Cross Inn Presents a night of alt rock, grunge and punk, featuring: Mantra
Since their formation in 2016, West London’s Mantra
have mesmerized listeners with spellbinding melodies propelled by powerhouse riffs and thundering drums. Signing to Dine Alone Records (Alexisonfire, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional) for their ‘I Want’ EP in 2017, Mantra’s infectious alt rock has earned support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, and Amazing Radio. This has all set the stage for Mantra’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Dreamland’, recorded with producer Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Ghost, The Pixies) to intensify their explosive sonic prowess. FFO: QOTSA/Weezer/Pixies MUMMY
South London quartet Mummy are kicking in the UK scene right now. Their blistering, heavy shows have earned the band rave reviews. Undeniably addictive hooks, heavy, stoner grunge, for fans of QOTSA/Weezer. Pretty Pistol
Loud 4-piece garage punk band born in London. Combining melds of furious shouts, frenzied riffs and pummelling drums, resulting in a marshalled chaos somewhere between Gallows, Be Your Own Pet and The Kills. Strange Planes
After a rocky start due to line up changes, Strange Planes confirmed their line up the back end of 2016. and released their ‘Night Terrors’ EP on Umlaut Records in 2017. Since the release, the band have shaken off their misdirection and are currently working on a follow up which is being recorded at Electrical Audio, Chicago in May with Greg Norman. In the meantime, badHORROR have re-released the band’s debut EP from 2014. Wednesday 7th November
