About:

BIRDS IN ROW (France)
Birds In Row are a melodic/abrasive band from Laval, France. Blurring the lines between hardcore, punk, and related sub-genres, Birds In Row offer something of substantial weight to their listeners. Collectively carrying somber hearts and poignant souls, they navigate through melancholic seas to shape beautifully hook-laden songs unlike anything else out there today.

“We Already Lost the World” is their latest, a stunning nine song album that blends post punk and angular rock influences into something emotional and electric. Recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauve at The Apiary, and mastered by Thibault Chaumont at Deviant Lab.

KEN MODE (Canada)
KEN mode is a Canadian metallic hardcore-influenced noise rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, that was formed in September 1999.

"The shows were great. Kill Everyone Now was the agenda. KEN mode all the time.” - Henry Rollins, Get in the Van: On the Road With Black Flag

COILGUNS (Switzerland)
La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. While most people from this small mountain town spend their lives handcrafting complicated mechanisms for luxury watches, COILGUNS have been busy crafting complex mechanisms of their own. Coilguns is guitarist Jona Nido, drummer Luc Hess and bass player / vocalist Louis Jucker, all of who also play in THE OCEAN.

The band was initiated by Jona in December 2010 and began their sonic journey in the studio soon afterwards and with the help of a healthy dose of Mauritian rum, Swiss absinthe and greens. From the haze emerged 3 tracks brutal as a kick in the teeth, raw as a laceration and tight as a Swiss watch.

The 3 tracks on this split CD are merely a first sign of life of this promising new outfit. The band will be on tour throughout Europe in March 2012.
