Punk'n'Roll Rendez Vous //61

PUNK'N'ROLL RDV is a monthly event that started in July 2012 bringing you some of the best and original bands from the underground scene with a free admission making musical discoveries more accessible for everyone.

We also showcases a band or two from the north of the U.K creating a northern connection at each night and adding to the unique atmosphere with DJ sets from DJ RAMONE who will be spinning a large variety of tunes only to name a few :

Formed in the dirty back streets of Coventry, disenchanted with the watered down piss of popular music dragSTER went into a cycle of relentless writing and touring. Within a year of forming they had been produced by Rat Scabies (THE DAMNED) and were managed by Jah Wobble (PIL).
Singer Fi was invited to front the world renowned musical collective PIGFACE on a 40 date US tour.
Three studio albums and hundreds of live shows under their belt including festivals in the UK and Europe mean dragSTER have built up a huge following of loyal fans. dragSTER hold up a mirror to the world, a sleazy, distorted, broken mirror.
Their fourth studio album is set to be released in 2018 with a full UK tour and dates in the Czech Republic.

LOZ CAMPBELL - Rock/Folk/Grunge/Alternative
Described as the love child of Kurt Cobain & Skunk Anansie, Loz Campbell & her band have been launched onto various O2 Academy stages (Sheffield & Leeds) after the success of the debut album “Green Eyes”.
Jumbo Records - "Styling out through bluesy riffage and soulful vocals that seem to be channelled way beyond Loz's years. She writes engaging songs that flow through rock, pop, folk and straight up good vibes and heartbreaking times. One to watch!"

THREE FROM ABOVE - Modern Garage Rock
High energy performers, this band combine an earnest lyrical content with punchy hooks that are in danger of being overshadowed by Harris McWilliam's edgy guitar riffs.
Three From Above formed in 2016. Since then the band have played a ton of gigs around the country with their explosive and high energy brand of garage rock. Shows are bound to be dynamic and a little sweaty, so come on down and see what the fuss is about.
The musical influences ranges from the rawness of Japanese clangorous trio 'Guitar Wolf' to the wonderful sounds of David Bowie's 'Hunky Dory', which is being played through on Jack White's very own heavily customised guitar amp.
