Gig Description

Third Lung –  angsty vocals and clattering indie rock with an edge of something rockier care of the vocal which hints at an influence from the likes of Steven Tyler via James Manic…some nice psych rock reverberations herein reminds of Levitation, via Muse with a bit of yer more anthemic Manics. Modern Hinterland with those lovely people at Label Fandango at the helm you know you’re in good hands here- their album ‘The Crack’, like their shows, has been garnering great reviews… R2 –  “Full of engaging songs that will appeal to lovers of great tunes and clever lyrics…32 minutes well spent for this reviewer”  NEN – “An energetic, optimistic first record packed with snapshots and memories, taking the nostalgic sound of wild Americana and soups it up with modern flourishes that are almost indie-pop” Late Last Night- Hooky melodic indie pop 3 piece, it’s a pretty stripped down sound but quite a lot going on interesting vocal harmonies and intricate melodic breakdowns, good stuff, holds the attention and they’ve decent tunes too. Art Fair – From school of  ICMP, nice emoting in the vocal, impressive wash of ethereal keys, nicely off kilter drums and probing bass…all good, very ‘live’ sounding, lots of energy and space in the music…touchstones could be Talk Talk, Japan, the more expansive end of ’80s pop stuff generally.
