Twink- Not many people truly match the expectations of the proviso ‘legend’ but where Twink is concerned legendary status is assured and then some. From Tomorrow to The Pink Fairies via Syd Barrett’s Stars and Hawkwind, Twink is an original counter culturalist psychedlicist mover shaker and he don’t sit still brothers and sisters. Apart from still hitting those amazing wigout drums Twink has also recently produced excellent new solo material showcasing his songwriterly quality and Barrett/Ayers shaped Anglo psych pop nous. He’s a fabulous act all right, it’s so good to welcome Twink to The Dublin Castle tonite. From Paris to London to L.A Ms Pigalle (‘the last Chanteuse’) has never pulled her artistic punches. Chanson and punk rock combine with the avant garde to produce a very French and very sensual take on both punk aesthetics and cabaret culture. Bon soir Sex, death et tout le reste jamais.  Motovamp– ‘Raw power injected rock ‘n’ roll fronted by Los Angeles blues punk siren, Lily Marlene featuring JD KickDrum on the drums, the elusive Jared Fisher on lead guitar and garage rock stylings from James Meynell on bass. Expect a lethal dose of Russ Meyer-moto babe-psychedelic-garage-punk-madness- cool beans for you if you dig- The Stooges, MC5, The Ramones, Little Richard, Turbonegro, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Rolling Stones, The Dead Boys, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Gun Club, The Sonics, New York Dolls….Invisible Eyes-  Frome/Bath based ambient/dance/techno project Invisible System has extended into this rocknroll outing…more a meld of groove riff type psychedelia (Hawkwind, Here And Now, Ozrics) and a bit of Loop like post Stooges wall of ramalama. They do like a ‘Feral psyche out’… Wayne From Buckhurst Hill – Nicely ‘Knowing’ arthouse rocknroll with a lived in boho vocal care of one Wayne Kirven that resembles Tom Petty getting all beat generation meditational…good crisp rocking fare in love with Soho in the ’50s and ’60s- think Beat Girl, 2 Eyes coffee bar, that boxer wot got murdered, clip joints, frothy coffee with or without…..nice.
