Beats To The Bar presents…
Bamboo, Charismatic Megafauna and Upset Stomach.

We’re so happy to bring you this line up!

Bamboo are Rachel Horwood (of Bas Jan, Trash Kit and Halo Halo) and Nick Carlisle (of Peepholes). Is it synth pop tinged folk or folk tinged synth pop? Whatever it is they have a mesmerizing and ethereal sound with Horwood’s oft pitch shifted banjo and Carlisle’s swirling synths and beats accompanying some gorgeous vocal melodies and backing vocals. Whet your appetite here: https://bamboosongs.bandcamp.com/

Charismatic Megafauna are more fun than you can shake a stick at (or six…drum sticks). A revolving three piece who put drums centre stage. Their lyrics are sometimes of a serious political bent, sometimes absolutely absurd, but are straight to the point and they always know how to make you move! Check out their super fun album Semi-regular: https://charismaticmegafaunamusic.bandcamp.com/album/semi-regular

Upset Stomach are almost like the Bis of today. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes frantic off the wall indie pop that would have fit nicely on Fortuna Pop! back in the day. However, they have something more to offer than that – they blend this with effects that whip up a shoegazey and sometimes plain oddball atmosphere, the vocals occasionally delaying, fuzzed out cartoon riffs. They are a joy! Take a listen to their amazing self-titled debut: https://upsetstomach.bandcamp.com/releases

Tickets to be made available for pre-order soon.
