Gig Description

THIS IS RADIO SILENCE started as the side project of former Earth Loop Recall frontman/SonVer guitarist Ben McLees in 2006.

When SonVer split in 2009, TIRS made the shift from solo project to a group project. Albums 'Now There's Nothing' (2010) and 'Soon, Much Of This Will Have Been Destroyed' (2012) were supported by sporadic live shows with a variety of line-ups. By the time of the release of 'The Crux EP' in 2014, TIRS had settled into the 6-piece line-up of Ben McLees (vox, guitar), Geoff Courts (bass), Hunter Barr (keys), Dan Vickers (drums), Austin Davey (guitar) and Adrian Giddings (visuals).

After a run of live shows through the middle of 2015, TIRS entered a period of public inactivity lasting nearly 4 years.

In February 2019, TIRS released their first new material since 'The Crux' in the form of single 'We Know It's Over'. .

A promo video for follow-up single 'Fallen Men' was released in April 2019, with a new EP featuring both new tracks due for release imminently.

The Sebright Arms gig will be the first full band TIRS live date since October 2015 and is the only live show planned for the forseeable future.

FRANKIE TEARDROP DEAD
Frankie Teardrop Dead have been developing their sound for the past five years, working from their sonic bunker deep inside the chaos of the concrete Fountayne Road, North London. Expertly connecting the energies of Neo-Psychedelia, Shoegaze, Dreampop and Post-Punk, FTD released their debut album “Better than Some, Worse than Others” late in 2015.

The Six-piece, comprising of Ben, Carling, The Sloth, Luigi, Daniel and Eric have since released their most ambitious project to date-“All you Need is Love and Fucking Peace”, released in October 2018 with echoes of Primal Scream, Velvet Underground, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Cure to permeate the huge soundscapes of their second LP, which looks poised to blow the lid off the UK Psych-scene.

Since sharing the stage with such bands as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Telescopes, Vibravoid, Dreamweapon and The Cambodian Space Project, the band have attracted a devoted underground following for their cosmic London shows.

After a tour of South East Asia in early 2019, the band are embarking on another UK tour!

FIRE HEALER
Fire Healer is the solo music project of Joe Chapman, frontman with neo-psychedelic bands The Neon Violets and The Elephant Trip.

Set off on a journey across the mystic meadow, into the darkness of the ancient woodland, on towards the distant beat of tribal drums where you will find Fire Healer, through the smoke through the trees, summoning up a dark voodoo spirit groove.

Fire Healer creates hypnotic vibes using electric mandolin, percussion, organ and voice. Fire Healer's sound is influenced by a love of psychedelic bands, trip hop, dub reggae, world, folk and blues music.
