Lanes + Lover + Bad Mood + New Ash Green

Doors:

Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Lanes – Aspirational high emotion indie with reference points to all the big hitters of the last 25 – 30  years (Oasis, The Verve, The La’s etc) but with an attitude and style all their own. Lover – Female fronted sassy new wave and ’90s pop amalgam rocking some Blondie, Garbage and Patti Smith influences via a modicum of dance orientated Talking Heads quirk. Bad Mood-Classy slowburning alt-rock outta Liverpool, bluesy, edgy tunes with a soupcon of Grunge and plenty in the way of hooks/tunes. Fine work. “Tunes often start on a brilliant bass line and turn taut on false finishes, tempo changes and the stutter-and-awe of a tightly wound Telecaster. The twin guitar attack sounds great, all sturm und drang, while the tunes themselves take on the times we’re living in.” (Liverpool echo) New Ash Green- Dreamy old school indie, really catchy and dare I say pretty tunes, makes you think of Chameleons, though a bit less bleakly post punk…see also Shack , very nice
