Alba + Bauplan + Black Rooster

Doors:

Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Alba –  Classy female fronted rock starring the eponymous Alba upfront, with undertones of funk and soul in the crisp, accomplished playing you can detect elements of old groovy gear such as The Doobie Brothers and The Doors,  with hints at Hendrix,  Joss Stone, Stevie Wonder and Led Zep. High end musicianship and star quality to the fore. Single Launch Party! Bauplan – Costello/Squeeze/Nick Lowe oriented rock pop with a tinge of blue eyed soul.  Hammond organ swells and and guitars and rhythm grind with grit. A big sound and good tunes. Black Rooster – Primal punk riot grrrl duo pumping out righteous raw songs of rebellion and outrage. Great stuff. A perky punked out White Stripes template, which is ace, but they are in fact looking for a bassist…it could be you..
