Ese & The Vooduu People – We were very impressed with these peeps when they played the DC first time round two and a half years back, and sure enough their reputation and profile has grown immeasurably since then. Fiery female fronted nu blues thru rock featuring an ex-Noisette on drums, a stripped back sound, no frippery, and some sultry, sassy soul punk vibes. Plus singer Ese has a unique and soul-searching voice, impressive stuff for sure. Great to have them back for this pre Glastonbury partay. And check out the stunning Kevin Cummins shot too. Clan Of Celts – Full Celtic Breakfasts all round…all the Scots/Irish (OK mainly Irish) elements and tropes you could ask for and a few more. Frantic, fun and feisty as fook, with fiddles! This is proper festival fare ripe for our festie warm up spesh tonite. Great stuff. The High Points – 3 piece from Norwich, doing hi energy indie pop, snappy and up-beat, with tunes of a sunny disposition. Prynne – Experimental soundscapes and ethereal yet soulful meditations with lazy cool beats and an eery and alluring vocal. Engaging stuff deserving of your attention.
