The George Jack Band – excellent vintage blues and rnb (John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howin Wolf etc) mixed up with ska and reggae scorchers like Double Barrel and 007– making for a high voltage party blend for dancing and wailin’ the blues alike. Drink in hand, naturally. Calico Jack – young funk rock outfit who lay down a great groove in the Parliament mould- see also RHCP, Was Not Was, Rick James, The Blockheads at their funkiest, Zappa likewise and some uber pop moments too.
