Carwyn Ellis & Rio 18 - the first solo release for the Colorama frontman Carwyn Ellis under his own name - release their debut album, Joia! on Banana & Louie Records on Friday June 28th 2019. Recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Caernarfon and London, the album is a bold, innovative and colourful collection of songs sung in Welsh combined with distinct pop and Latin American flavours drawn from Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Samba and Tropicalismo styles.
