tbc + Black Shiver + Jon Mark Doyle + Yavenirie + Mister Softee

Black Shiver 2 piece from Nottingham, dealing cerebral alt pop with plenty in the way of light n shade and general dynamism, even though it’s quite a sparse stripped down sound, heavier tunes nod to Deus Jon Mark Doyle-Skewed art pop, with new order-esque bass lines and flash guitar-lines, quite off-kilter but rather compelling. Yavenirie-Female fronted psych-infised art folk with undertones of Goth. Mister Softee- Ramshackle and at times discordant, but engaging garagey indie-punk, doesn’t really sound like anyone else which is a neat trick, there’s elements of Fat White Family (who are apparently fans) and early Fall, but more or less their own sound, Fab
