STATIC SHOCK GIG VOL #178
PERMISSION
First local gig in a bit! "Absorb or be locked out. Somewhere between a hi-fi Rudimentary Peni and if Saccharine Trust was a rugby team."

PIOUS FAULTS
"Now is the time to take notice of Brisbane, Australia's PIOUS FAULTS. Aside from a short, yet exciting demo on the Tenth Court label and a brief feature in the almighty Distort Mag, Pious Faults have remained somewhat of an enigma since their inception in late 2016. However, with "Old Thread", the young Australian group have crafted a remarkably lucid and original vinyl debut (released by Feel It in the USA and Penultimate Press in the UK). A sonic whirlwind of wonderfully deconstructed hardcore punk - songs stripped of inheritable form; leaping from stone to leaf to puddle in a unique, abstract manner. A sound far from imitation but comparable to early Saccharine Trust, Spike In Vain, or more recent fare like Dry Rot and NASA Space Universe."

TERRA SOROR
"Post punk three piece, fresh from a ritualistic naked action on Leytonstone flats witnessed by dog walkers and doggers, and involving tree loving, mud and filth in the rain. Their recently released first tape is a feminist take on wildness, plants, the earth (and its possible brutal revenge) and our place in it, and vegetables as eroticism. Members include those of Frau, Es, and Good Throb." https://terrasoror.bandcamp.com/album/revenge
