Gig Description

Gail Thibert’s ‘Soap The Stamps’ is a a true tale of punk rock, motorbikes, squats and sewing… This lovely memoir tracks Gail’s journey from Suburban teen punk rebel to tarot card psychic and all motorbikin’, hair dyin’, rocknrollin’points inbetween. From her base in Epping Forest Gail still finds time for sewing and also busies herself singing  and playing with a few  punk bands,, like Mad Inc.,  Sarah Pink’s Gravediggers and the infamous anarcho pop sensations Flowers In The Dustbin. Wayne Reid  – ‘My Book Innit’ is a disarming and rollicking ride thru punk , 2 Tone and rocknroll times gone by, from Dagenham to L.A, via Cov and all points in between, the story of a young man living and loving life to the full. As Wayne sez ‘We were kids. It was our job to misbehave’! Tonight in this extended RNR Book Club  Tony Bugbear and Julie Hamill will be posing the questions to Gail and Wayne and supplying the cool counterctural punk sounds fore and aft. Plus a  live performance by the aforementioned Ms Pink and co., and do arrive nice and early for a bit of unplugged punk joy from the craftily monkered Ukulele Subs.
