Gig Description

Pink Mirrors – “If Foo Fighters were abducted by aliens…”, an ace indie noise rock group, funky instrumentals with cool riffs, pop-punk vocals that hint at a commercial currency and dang catchy lyrics. Flat Lager – Excellent stuff…ripping Void Oids / Television guitars with lots of sevenths and intensity and a suitably urgent rocknroll protestation vocal style. Raw throated and poetic…comes on like early Happy Mondays meets Slaves…very good work, now sup up. Hot Face-Mark E Smith type vocal and some atonal keyboard stabs and sexily sloppy drumming via a little freakout Mothers guitar…elsewhere punky yelpy Swell Maps style alt pop, some stoned laconic psychedelic kinkiness going down here. ..yeah cool. Sea Driver – Alt rock, quite mellow at times but then again with heavy crank-it-up sensibilities and vocals that are quite Lou Reed… A 20/20 Fission Showcase
