Gig Description

**** Pisco Disco w/Imperio Bamba and Motel Nevada ****
******** Food / Drink / Music **********

Pisco Disco is back in trendy Hoxton with another night of Latin-American controlled chaos, featuring (psychedelic cumbia) and Motel Nevada (electronic cumbia) followed by uplifting/soul-healing/trance-inducing latin american dj-sets until 1am. Expect the usual informal and friendly atmosphere, delicious South American street food and those curiously strong Pisco cocktails.

We are thrilled to have both Imperio Bamba and Motel Nevada back to Pisco Disco. Imperio Bamba presented their first single at Pisco Disco (Paper Dress Vintage) last March and loyal PD revellers will remember Motel Nevada (their first ever show!) closing the night on June - they have promised an extended set, including that infamous Alan Garcia sample.

We'll start at 6pm serving food at the terrace and Pisco-cocktails (or your preferred beverage) from the Pub's bar. Live Music will kick off around 9pm, followed by Pisco Disco DJ sets of psychedelic cumbia and Salsa Brava.

The Plan:
Food: South American fast-food TBA
Drink: Pisco Sour, Chilcano and whatever else the pub serves.
LIVE: Imperio Bamba (10pm) / Motel Nevada (9pm) -- or the other way around :)
DJ Sudaka sets (Psychedelic Cumbia / Salsa Brava)

Everybody is invited - all nationalities are welcome!

About Imperio Bamba:
Imperio Bamba's sound emerges from their Latin American roots (Perú/Chile), mixing Chicha, Cumbia, Salsa and Afro-Peruvian rhythms with psychedelic/rock synths and guitars. In Perú "Bamba" means something or someone fake. The meaning behind Imperio Bamba (empire of the fake) is centred in reflecting all that is fake in the current situation of the world. Also, to discuss about how we have a natural right to move freely through the world as we should move freely when we dance. FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT!

About Motel Nevada:
What happens when you gather a talented, experimented and curious musician with a DJ for them to collaborate and create something together? That is what Motel Nevada is all about - Jules Dadre’s new project, in collaboration with DJ AHS (Sebastian Halpern), has become a new expression of Latin Electronic sounds that blends Latin-American vibes with live guitars and mellow voices, creating a new type of sound - full of energy, recharged with mysticism.
