Gig Description

Portals are thrilled to be able to present the Aiming for Enrike album launch all-dayer party, with support from Big Lad, Suffer Like G Did and lots more.

Aiming For Enrike - Norway's dastardly duo, AfE are one of the fastest-rising bands on the experimental rock circuit right now and deservedly so. Their music combines inch-perfect loops, gigantic grooves and an infectious synchronicity. If you've never seen this band before, you're in for a treat!

"A universe filled with jazz, noise, postpunk & funk. Adventurous, energetic, danceable and innovative" (AB, Brussels)
FFO: Battles,Adebisi Shank, Vessels

Big Lad - Crushing Electronics and Drum Duo, High Octane Party Bangers to the max. Big Lad are a frenetic combination of synthesizers, pounding drums and blistering rhythms. Prepare to dance.

"trippy, weird, manic, deranged, and endlessly entertaining" (Drowned in Sound)
FFO: Lightning Bolt, Melt Banana

Suffer Like G Did - Supremely-crafted math-jazz quartet, Suffer Like G Did are a math-rock education.
FFO: TTNG, Jaga Jazzist, toe

Theo - The math-rock one-man-band extraordinaire, Theo loops cacophonous riff over cacophonous riff, then sits down at the drum kit to smash out the jams. It's incredible stuff.
FFO: Russian Circles, Brontide

Vogons - hailing from Sheffield, Vogons' unique brand of dark, twisting math-rock makes them ones to watch for 2020.
FFO: ASIWYFA, Tera Melos, TTNG

Big In Sheboygan - with a new record recently released on Lonely Voyage, and airplay on BBC radio recently, BiS show that there can never be enough fun math-rock in your life.
FFO: Totorro, Delta Sleep

Northwest offer something a little different. Their ethereal dream-pop mixes haunting vocals and contemporary classical arrangements. Stunning.
FFO: Mazzy Star, Emma Ruth Rundle
