Gig Description

🦉It is happening again.🦉

It's been a long time coming. The Dark Owl returns to The Victoria on 19 February. We would like you to join us for a wayward Wednesday evening of song, dance, and incantations.

Joining us for the night are three marvellous London bands.

Headlining the night we have the brilliant Brixton duo WAHL

"A self-contained musical universe... their brooding DIY pop fuses languid melody with a twilight atmosphere." - Clash Magazine

WAHL launched their second single 'Heaven Knows' November 2018 alongside B-side 'T.V.'. Both tracks were premiered on BBC Introducing. The accompanying self-produced video for 'Heaven Knows' premiered on Clash Magazine.

The duo consists of multi-instrumentalist Rachel Still and drummer Kayleigh Cheer, who create the band’s expansive sound entirely between themselves from their home studio in their Brixton living room.

Dutch Mustard, the London four-piece, bring us a sonic whirlwind blending influences of Grunge, Shoegaze, and Alternative Rock.

Over the last two years the band have been playing at some of London's most loved venues. During that time they put together their first few singles which include, Weeping Willow, Taste It and Society Is Sick.
The band Released their EP "Drive" on September 12th 2019, Recorded, Produced, and Mastered by Ian Flynn at MusicLand Studios, London.

The brand new The Dead Zoo were formed in 2019 and with a sound in parts reminiscent of Juju-era Siouxsie and the Banshees, a Kim Gordon fronted Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine, balance equal parts melody and sonic assault and have been described as a “post punk noise machine”. Completing their permanent line-up earlier this year the band are set to gig and record throughout 2020 and we cannot wait for what the future brings.
