Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Kape Kanaveral-Infectiously catchy indie  equally informed by the proto-punk,  early Talking heads and U.k Post punk early X.T.C maybe…Bite OfKarma-Halfway between indie and alt rock a dose of Artic Monkeys and a good measure of Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stoneage, decent fizzing tunes played with plenty of conviction The Buddha Pests – indie with a very strong post punk element… think Can with a bit of Pixies, a bit of Pigeon Detectives (gone punk), a lot of Buzzcocks here too…  Big clanging guitars and a ferocious bass and drums onslaught plus a semi deranged vocal reminiscent of Richard Hell if Richard Hell came from Homerton or Hounslow...yeah this rocks, a bit of Husker Du, some early Damned and Dead Boys too.  Girls Like Us-All girl grunge but with a brooding post punk angle, tense Joy Div bass and drums, edgy atmospheric tunes, neat.
