Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Ditch The Demon – mature groovy feckers playing snappy psychedelic  rock with an old school rawk touch but rather commercial and light on its feet too care of a boombastic 4 to the floor beat at times and a rallying, rousing female vocal. “Ditch the Demon sense the ‘un-sensed’. Their creative message suggests strong innuendo for change, freedom and obscurity. Join, together, in the world of ‘Demon-ear’ and open your hearts to the warm, liberating influence of British psyche-rock as we know it today!” Oliver Shaw Experience –  the excellent songwriter Ollie Shaw takes Radiohead like progressive pop moves and meshes them with garage rock elements care of his excellent band, producing some righteous nuggets of raw sound that are indeed wonderfully crafted songs. After two great albums under the wing of producer Paul Tipler, Ollie is already creating his third, and after his  highly popular Dublin Castle residency of lasy year it’s ace to welcome him back tonite. Yoko? Oh No! –  playing whacked out buzzsaw punk cum post Britpop (from France..) with some mannered Sparks/Freddie Mercury on PCP type vox…eccentric and NOT  little crazy in the coconut. Much fun. Stilnovos – Punky slacker pop 3 piece with American 1980s influences perhaps…Dinosaur Jr, Lemonheads. Make a nice Singalong friendly buzzsaw noise.
