Punky Reggae Party #2 – The Clash Vs The Jam – Back In The City… Of The Dead… .It’s Weller Vs Strummer, The West Way Vs Woking, Sandinista Vs Setting Sons…er…Burton Suits Vs Bondage Trews… The music of The Jam and The Clash, as performed by Ghosts and Punky Reggae Party. Playing at the wonderful Dublin Castle, these two bands will do a set each of these great groups.Ghosts will kick off the night with a set of Jam classics, from In the City to Going Underground. Punky Reggae Party will be in the Clash corner, expect London Calling, Safe European Home and many more. Then the two bands will do a joint encore of Jam and Clash anthems. Wow. If you missed it last time you really missed a beauty, so now’s your opportunity to relive those heady late seventies early eighties days of glory. NB DAYTIME SHOW IS A SEPARATE TICKET- ONLY £5!!!  MATINEE SHOW- The Ramoaners + Hugh Vivian (Omega Tribe) Yes get in at 2pm-ish for this very special Ramones tribute show to get you in the mood for The Clash Vs The Jam later this evening. And it’s only a fiver! The Bruddas 1970s classic work channelled brilliantly by a bunch guys from Scotland- not so much a tribute in fact as a calling, a ramalama revivalist labour of love..they look and sound like the 1978 Ramones (at their best ). What’s not t L-U-V? Support comes from the wonderful Mr Hugh Vivian of Omega Tribe fame. English anarcho-punk band, who had early output care of Crass Records and have never stopped keeping punk rock real and really fun.
