QUEEN COLOBUS

Queen Colobus launch their wonky new EP ’Think Fast’ at the Windmill, with support from Flo Blue. Led by do-it-all Welsh front woman Beth Hopkins on saxophone and vocals, Queen Colobus are a genre-bending 4-piece making waves in the London Jazz scene. Their songwriting reveals vulnerability and anger, and gives the finger to fitting into tiny genre boxes. They mash together jazz with indie rock, neo-soul, and Beth’s teenage obsession with Dave Grohl.

'Queen Colobus owning it, truly dazzling...' Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC6 Music

‘QC’s music is climactic and leaves you absorbed by a euphoric kind of rage’ - Our Mate

‘Queen Colobus is one of those bands that is ahead of its time but is also NEEDED in this time. This is a great work of art!’ - Ital Massive

SANSHA

Musician Sansha produces her alternative pop songs in her bedroom in South East London. She takes influence from mainly 90s dance music, west coast jazz and 1970s close harmony groups. A classically trained opera singer, she likes to put her classical training to good use and uses her violin and trumpet on stage alongside her live set up of launchpad and synthesiser. Having performed at events and venues such as the Montreux jazz festival, Sofar sounds sessions in 10 different cities around Europe and her one woman comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe twice, she is confident on stage and loves to perform. She is currently working on a large amount of songs to be released soon.
