Cork's Pretty Happy - one of our absolute highlights of 2022 return to Blenheim Gardens for a big Saturday night!

PRETTY HAPPY (Cork, Ireland)

Pretty Happy enjoyed a sensational 2022, touring with hero Kim Gordon through Europe, supporting Pavement, performing at festivals such as All Together Now, Raw Power, and Other Voices in Dingle and Wales, as well as headlining their first oversees show here at the Windmill..

They also made a love-letter documentary about the history of Cork post-punk entitled Leeside Creatures funded by the Triskel Art Centre’s WRITE RECORD PERFROM residency.

Their Echo Boy EP, released in November, had a great response across the board. The first single “Boots” received substantial airplay on BBC 6Music and Radio One from the likes of Jack Saunders, Steve Lamacq, Michael Bradley, Simone Butler, Craig Charles and Nels Hylton, as well as Track of the Week on Dan Hegarty’s 2FM show The Alternative.

The Irish Times End of Year polls Listed Pretty Happy as No. 8 Best Irish Group and No. 7 Best Irish Song for “Boots.”

“Pretty Happy are one of the most original and exhilarating live acts. Incorporating visceral instrumentation and impassioned performances – along with a brilliant touch of theatre – there’s a timelessness to the art they create.” – Zara Hedderman, Totally Dublin

"DIY rock that will rip you in half, they have no intention of being polite, Pretty Happy, it's just how they feel. You might feel a bit possessed after it.” – Jack Saunders, BBC Radio One Future Artists Track of the Day.

“Wild and uncompromising… there is humour within the mayhem, something we could all do with right now.” – Julia Mason God Is In the TV

“Their mellifluous Munster brogues and Rebel County colloquialisms set them apart from the pack. Pretty Happy aren’t just ones to watch for the future, they’re ones to hear and see live right now.” Mark Conroy, Totally Dublin

PADDYWAK

They're back!! South London's premier noise-pop trio make a long overdue return to the venue.
