Gig Description

The Dirty Strangers – have played some amazing shows with us in the Dublin Castle over the years, and yes tonight they’re back to rock you senseless with their proper, proper tune laden, sleazed up rocknroll frenzy once again. As Kris Needs says ‘the UK’s last true rocknroll band fearlessly flying against vacuous trends’….well, The Dirty Strangers’ story is all documented now, coz John Wombat has written ‘Alan Clayton of The Dirty Strangers – The Authorized Biography‘,  the heart cockle warming tale of their ‘livewire leader’ Alan Clayton AKA Dirty Al, a mover shaker if ever there was one. Much has been made of the infamous ongoing Strangers/Stones relations, a tale of 2 blistering, brill rocknroll bands somehow at opposite ends of the gig circuit but brothers in arms too…and we’ll be discussing that again tonight for sure, but there’s a ton of other tales to tell about this Shepherds Bush legend beyond the Keef connection. A roller coaster ride is assured, Mr Clayton has quite a story. Strap in for the Q and A onstage with Tony Gleed  and also enjoy Al’s son and Dirty Strangers manager Paul Clayton spinning the text related tunes throughout the evening. Come along, buy a book, get it signed, grab a photo, and enjoy the wonderful music of The Dirty Strangers live too. Stop press now also with ‘Rascal rockers’ Soho Dukes outta Brighton opening up to get the party started. A great night out in store. ALREADY GOT THE BOOK? Come along with your copy for signing and ONLY PAY A FIVER. £5 with book..
