Oasis Vs Blur… What’s The Story Tracy Jacks? Think back to the Summer of 1995, a long hot one as I recall. Roll With It or Country House…which would hit the top spot and sell the most newspapers? That was perhaps THE last Great Pop Phenomenon (discuss). Well, we’re all a lot older and we’re all gonna play nicely now, but you can don that Adidas top and slip those Gazelles on all over again tonight as “Oasis” and “Blur” both take to the magical, mojo riddled Dublin Castle stage to both play blistering sets. Enjoy both performances and forget the feud. What a night it will be! Plus DJ Brett Pop (sic) no doubt playing Pulp and Elastica and Sleeper and maybe even Menswear and wot not to get you in the mood.  Oh – Aces – Gallagher Bruvs in their united prime, paid scintillating homage by these talented and dedicated fans of The most swaggering, rocking end of the Britpop boom. Were Oasis the best? You tell us…that whole period is a bit of a Blur…but I did smoke some Super Grass. (Just say Mmmmm…maybe. Definitely. ) Popscene – Talking of Blur…back in 1995 the real thing infamously played a sweet as a nut sweat box Dublin Castle ‘secret’ gig at the height of post Parklife Blurmania. I mean Blur, not Scouse soulsters The Real Thing, ya get me…anyway, what a night it was. And here’s Popscene to help you relive it. Maybe they’ll play that same set.
