The Swagger + Brut + Sleaze

Doors:

Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

The Swagger– Hazy psychedelic pop which recalls The Mock Turtles and at times Oasis, nicely honed hooky tunes. Recently worked with  producer/drummer Graham Bonnar (Swervedriver/Brian Jonestown Massacre) recording their debut EP at the famous Konk studios owned by The Kinks. Brut- Engaging indie pop with hooks aplenty harks back to 80’s kit like Orange Juice but also late 70’s New Wave, Mink Deville etc, great stuff. Sleaze- Are the ideal band you want to see when you walk into a pub and are providing the sound of broken Britain. The market stalls outside may have swapped the Elastica T-shirts for scented candles nowadays but it seems that inside this bar tonight Britpop has woken up again with a hangover and dodgy stomach. This is the soundtrack to accompany the end of a Tory government visibly on the brink of collapse, fab feet tapping fist-pumping music.
