The Specialised – paying homage to Coventry’s finest, these chaps have honed all the classics from the first two albums and attendant singles, but also dip a brogue in some of the later Specials/Special AKA work. Which all makes for a fantastic night of Dance Craze goodness, and a lovely reminder of just what an important band The Specials were, and how they retooled punk, ska and Reggae to birth the 2 Tone Sound, a boss sound that still very much reverberates today, especially in The Dublin Castle (AKA The Ancestral Seat Of Madness). Kings Road – playing punk, new wave and mod classics. A perfect warm up for some Special skanking. DJs We Got Killers – keeping the ska/reggae/punk party going til 2am, and branching off into pop, soul, rave, disco…whatever the dancefloor dictates so long as it’s a killer tune.
