Gig Description

MATINEE SHOW 2.15pm… The Hornets – Nifty extra bluesed up rhythm n blues beat groupisms. Retro goofiness, but not slavishly so. Very good work indeed. Yes, these guys sure to produce a buzz!  Sorry about that…a four piece Rhythm & Blues band based in and around London. They have recently played sold out gigs for The Ealing Club, Ram Jam Records, The Spice Of Life, Slim Jim’s Liquor Store, The Crawdaddy Club, and The Isle of Wight Lambretta Day to name but a few! Their debut album, “Hornets’ Nest” was released in March 2024. Daddy Those Men Scare Me – our very favourite suburban punk pop ironists go way back to the early days of Bugbear– and now they’ve written a few new songs too! Then again why mess with a set list full of quality witty items like ‘Mass Consumption’, ‘Magic Mushroom Man’ and ‘Teenagers‘ (Cunts!)…wonderful. For fans of The Stranglers, Squeeze, Half Man Half Biscuit and Ian Dury.  EVENING SHOW. Ticketed separately here –  https://wegottickets.com/event/645255/  The Macs – Arctic Monkeys/Rentons waves ripple through the kicking indie rock on offer here. Featuring strong performances from all on board and really good tunes. Got bags of charm and lots of  pop nous have these Macs. Beejar – boy/gal rock pop with some cool originals and the occasional choice cover, such as a beezer take on Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’. Superb engagement with you, the audience, assured!
