DEAD SPACE CHAMBER MUSIC (DSCM) are a gothic / experimental / doom group based in Bristol, UK. They reinterpret historical material, taking forms and melodies that are hundreds of years old and shape-shifting them into new and varied contemporary works. Incorporating improvisation and use of ‘found sounds’, and with vocals spanning medieval Middle English, Latin and Welsh, they blend elements of dark ambient, post-industrial, avant-classical, sacred chant and dark-folk in their powerful and atmospheric music.
DSCM founded and co-curate the award winning independent live event series Dark Alchemy in Bristol, playing and hosting other artists in crypts and churches since 2017. They are earning increasing acclaim for their compelling and ceremonial live shows having to date shared bills with The Danse Society, Cold in Berlin, Nero Kane (IT), Maud the Moth, Hawthonn, Kariti (IT/RUS), Khost, Deep Cross (USA), Some Became Hollow Tubes (members of thisquietarmy & Godspeed You! Black Emperor), Kate Arnold, Bonnacons of Doom, Nocturnal Emissions and Rose McDowell amongst others. They have toured the UK with internationally acclaimed composer and virtuoso cellist Jo Quail, and with hackedepicciotto (Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten & Danielle de Picciotto of Crime and the City Solution).
Personnel for this show: Tom Bush (guitar), Ekaterina Samarkina (drums / percussion) and Ellen Southern (voice, psaltery, percussion & found sounds).
“Deeply storied and gloriously doomy…a mixture of beauty and heaviness, ancient and new” – The Quietus
“Compelling and totally genius. DSCM somehow combine neo-classical with moments of opera with musique concrete and medieval themes…confronting and embodying many emotions, from the boldly visceral to the melancholic with an edge of eerie. There is found sound and improv, neo-folk, soundscape, a clatter and a whiff of industrial and ambient but somehow they intertwine these into a thoroughly captivating whole. This is no normal performance and no normal group. It’s like the soundtrack to the best film you’ve never seen and a thrilling journey into painting with sound.” – John Robb, Louder Than War, UK
“The Black Hours is a record that wipes out everything else, 9/10” – Grind On The Road (IT)

FUTURES WE LOST is the dark post-industrial, cinematic techno soundscape of electronic artist and producer Doug Gordon. Rising from the ashes of 2020’s grief and inspired by the artist’s ancestral roots under the crumbling mills and industrial scars of the northern English landscape; this self-titled upcoming debut album explores these post-industrial graveyards and dystopian future visions through the lens of our present day neo technological horrors.
Sometimes a brutalist techno monolith to this mechanised slavery nightmare, sometimes a dark ambient soundtrack to the distortion and living death of our dreams. A sonic memorial to all those futures we lost…
“Examines the remnants of the industrial age in a post-industrial world” – Regen magazine

SEAMING TO is a composer, vocalist, multi instrumentalist and producer.
“One of the most captivating, unclassifiable performers on the scene.” The Financial Times
“An astonishing vocalist of haunting emotional power” – The Guardian
“Seaming’s vocal styling is impressively kaleidoscopic; haunting at times, vulnerable at others offering a desolate calm..both a moving, virtuoso conversion.”
