Wolventrix
From their origins as a late-90s Oxford indie-rock band, Wolventrix now appear as the intimate duo of Tom Walkden (lead vocal, acoustic guitar) and Alex Billig (backing vocal, piano). They tell tales of love and loss, drawing on influences from Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel to Radiohead and Conor Oberst. Expect a performance which is reflective, playful and rousing in equal measure.
Dandelion Chain
The Dandelion Chain is a polymorphic band creating bold, genre-blurring music that fuses post-punk energy, gothic edge, and pop sensibilities. Known for their inventive live performances and evocative soundscapes, they combine intricate arrangements with raw emotion. In a minimalistic version as a duo, Mike and Carlos weave synthpop ideas with classical arrangements, and turn rockabilly on its head. The Dandelion Chain delivers a brightly dark and unforgettable musical experience.
Yarès
Yarès is a duo formation (accordion, guitar, voices) focusing on Greek rebetiko music, best described as the music of the Greek immigrants from Minor Asia. Their repertoire explores less known songs about the love and hardship of the working class and of the Greek urban society of the previous century. Fotis and Nicolas formed Yarès in an effort to share their love for rebetiko and make the songs they enjoy known to the public abroad. They have been active for more than three years and have performed in various venues across Belgium, Greece and the UK.
