New Music Mondays #2026/2

We're hoping to do more New Music Mondays - a night of new bands and new projects for free - this year. We had so many applications for the first one of the year on 5 Jan that we decided to do another one at haste.

Previous New Music Mondays nights have spawned the likes of The Orchestra (For Now), Ebbb, Black Fondu. Ziplock, Charlemagne, Wing!, thistle., Little Grandad and others who are now playing around the city and well beyond. Acts listed in alphabetical order:

ASSA - guitar led pop backed by atmospheric stuff and synth work - heavy on nostalgia

ADELPHI - experimental jazzy-pop

DEFENDER - we've only heard one track from this band but it's a belter and reminds us of warped-pop greats like Bran Van 3000 and Tom Tom Club. Bring it on!
