The New Sticky – acknowledging the ‘musical acrobatics’ and ‘sardonicism’ at the heart of their oeuvre, the New Sticky also point out that their rather splendid debut album ‘Feel’ is largely about endurance. Endure they sure do, despite a bit of a lineup change… punk funk, alt disco and art rock all at play, for a frenetic, but poptastic whole. Great party music too! Slender Pins – also embracing some of the left field funkiness of the post post thang, these Pins have proven themselves to have legs…great songs, great delivery, and an intensity live that hints at Bogshed via Gang Of Four. Pub Quiz – Great name! Or one of three spiffing handles ce sour rather…and a great sound too! Twitchy, arsey, out there grinding post punk with a drum machine, abrasive guitars and anxiety to the fore yelping on the mic. Excellent!Bobby Zodiac and the Clairvoyants – you really do need to get here really nice and early to take in the full glory of our opening act tonight. If you any time for seductive dancing mermaids that is, not to mention kosmiche, other worldly spoken word jazzbo post punk shot thru with yacht rock and exotic pop. Wonderful. DJs We Got Killers – will kick off the session with some arthouse indie dance and danceable post punk flavours 2nite, before flying off into disco, reggae, ska, rave…wherever your fevered feet command us.
