CRY- 99 + The Other Woman

CRY- 99 – My Bloody Valentine /Curve/Slowdive/Lush are the influences here..sound really  great too even if their shugaze influences are apparent. They do it all their own way, rather special. The Other Woman – 3 young women from the West Country who make a rather beautiful ethereal noise that seems to bridge The Sundays / Everything But The Girl ethereal melodic  ‘80s indie girls thing and something more shugaze, noir and poignantly rumbling…great emoting vocals, artful, playful guitar and bass parts and sweetly syncopated drumming. Great!
