World Cup 2026 Group L round of 32

Doors:

The Harrison

28 Harrison St. WC1H 8JF London

Gig Description

England’s first knockout match of the 2026 World Cup, screened in our King’s Cross basement venue on the big screen. Air conditioned, theatre style seating, proper sound system, cold pints from the bar upstairs. This Round of 32 match is crucial for England’s progression.

This is the match England play if they win Group L, which the bookmakers have at around 75% likely. Kick off is 5pm UK time at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium against the third placed team from Group E, H, I, J or K. We won’t know the exact opponent until the group stage finishes on 27 June, but realistically the candidates include Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Uruguay, Senegal, Norway, Colombia or Austria. Some of those are tougher draws than others, but every team at this Round of 32 stage has earned their place.

5pm UK is a great time for a knockout game. Doors open at midday, so you can roll in for our weekday lunch offer (sharing platters, sandwiches, mains with a drink included from 12 to 3) and stay through to kick off. The basement opens an hour before the game.

The first proper knockout match of the World Cup. Win or go home.

How it works

The Harrison basement is set up as a screening room for England matches. Around 50 theatre style seats, big screen, full bar service. Air conditioning means it stays comfortable even on a 30°C July afternoon. Food can be ordered from the main pub menu upstairs and brought down.

A note on the date

England play their Round of 32 match on Wednesday 1 July only if they win Group L. If they finish second or third in the group, the Round of 32 falls on Friday 3 July at times we can’t screen (midnight and 2:30am UK respectively).
The Harrison Venue is the basement live music and event space at The Harrison Pub & Hotel, on Harrison Street in King’s Cross. Two minutes from King’s Cross, St Pancras International and Russell Square stations. We host live music, comedy, spoken word and (during the World Cup) screenings.
