Plans 4 Nigel – what a great moniker for a punk and new wave party covers concept. And here they are to hit you with their rhythm sticks. Cool for cats. Plans 4 Nigel in fact play stripped‑back punk, mixing original songs with punk classics.  Headcase – full on, frantic punky indie with a suitably nutty frontman and superb, committed performances all round. Quite a bit of early Blur in there maybe, some Oasis too for that matter, the more visceral end at least – Excellent fun Charmian Devi – powerful trio from Brighton, in the vein of PJ Harvey and Patti Smith. Phil Black – DIY solo post punk antagonist who blends beefy beat box, budget synthpop, scurrilous punk and arty indie. Has a pretty big back catalogue too, new album Dreamhouse being the latest edition.
