The Word Zoo – 10th Anniversary Show: A Celebration of Poetry, Music & Vibes

The Word Zoo is turning 10!

On Saturday 17th October, we’re taking over The Others for a very special anniversary show celebrating ten years of poetry, music, open mics, unexpected moments and wonderful people.

For the past decade, performers have stepped up to the microphone, audiences have filled the room with their energy, and poetry, music and vibes have brought our community together. Now, we’re gathering to celebrate the journey so far—and begin the next chapter of The Word Zoo.

Whether you’ve been part of the Zoo for years, discovered us recently or have been waiting for the right moment to visit, we’d love you to join us for this milestone celebration.

Expect an evening of poetry, live music, special performances and plenty of the joyful unpredictability that makes The Word Zoo what it is.

There will also be a name-in-the-hat open mic, giving attendees the chance to perform during the anniversary show. Open-mic entry arrangements will be announced soon. Please note that entering your name will not guarantee a performance slot.
