The Green Ribbon Club –The Green Ribbon Club play acoustic punk music, taking their inspiration from the rich heritage of non-conformism, equality, creativity and subversion that infuses the darker recesses of British history. The original Green Ribbon Club was Britain’s first political opposition party, set up by people more commonly know as Levellers. Many soldiers in the Parliamentary army unionised, they wore Green Ribbons or sprigs of Rosemary to signify their allegiance. These fine people are their musical, spiritual descendants. Bravo.
