Gig Description

Henry’s Funeral Shoe Residency#4– HFS are 2 South Walian Brothers super swishly rocking the old drums n guitar template, so ok you have to mention Black Keys, White Stripes too but these two have a pretty unique take on things, it’s a lot more fiery and energetic than Black Keys and although they make a pretty unhinged racket everything locks together perfectly, the chemistry’s great and they’ve got hooks, hooks, hooks. More hooks than Peter Hook, Dr Hook and a hundred hookers fishing on the Hook Of Holland #Hooks… Their debut album “Everything’s For Sale” is a fun and raucous mix of heavy rock and psychedelic blues which reminds us that the U.K can produce more than great pop music, but also some amazing rock’n’roll. Graves-Fast ‘n furious punk via Garage Rock ‘n roll, with the Goth/horror punk overtones of, say, The Misfits, but with a brit accent, neat. The Morning-Spangly radio-friendly indie pop with Lush harmonies, decent hooks a polished production, fine work. For Breakfast- Atmospheric post punk via noise rock, think God Speedor explosions in the sky shot through with stoner-noise rock, somewhat terminal Cheesecake  in places,
