Gig Description

The Odd Folk

The best folk band you’ve never heard of…” say the Guardian; a collection of multi-instrumentalists who swap styles as often as they swap instruments. A “passionately ramshackle” quintet playing their own brand of “triumphant folk” while journeying around Europe in a vintage Renault 4. Equally at home on the main stage or the corner of an old barn, the boys treat each gig with the same gusto and aim to make people smile and bounce.

“An acoustic wonder, what rock might be if created in Cambridge rather than Chicago” fROOTS
“Nick Drake meets a gypsy rave!” TimeOut
“… tumbling, acoustic, Anglicana for the back roads of a British summer.” fROOTS

With support from Sam Nicholson
Often defaulting to melancholy Sam offers an emotive perspective through resonant guitar parts and weathered vocals, throwing finesse out the window for honesty. Released on the 19th August this year, his debut record entitled ‘If You Be My’ (which he is very, very excited about) offers a raw introduction to not only his inner conflicts but equally his take on the world that moves before him.
