MATINEE SHOW 2pm Tonight Ants fans will swarm over London as Adam Ant returns to the stage for an eagerly ant-icipated live show, rescheduled from last year following Adam’s unfortunate illness. Fantastic to know it’s back on…So what could be better than a little afternoon aperitif, to put some extra Ants in yer pants? The UK’s only Adam and the Ants tribute band Ant Trouble descend once more upon Camden Town for a matinee show in The Dublin Castle… This fantastic Ants tribute band, who also play songs from Adam Ant’s solo era, will be performing all of the big Ants hits, awesome album tracks, punk era classics and exciting b-sides from the back catalogue of ant music for all Ant fans alike. This afternoon the band will be performing a special long set of ant tracks (a few that Adam won’t be playing live himself) from both eras of the Ants, from Punk to Pop… All performed completely live, giving you the authentic experience in full costume and with all the manic energy you’d expect from the dandy highwaymen themselves! So hoist that Jolly Roger once again, and step this way to enjoy even more Ant Music. Evening Show 8pm is ticketed separately HERE https://wegottickets.com/event/675987/The Double Nines, The False Dots, Whelligan… The Double Nines are a Liverpool based ‘meta indie rock’ band. Yes, post modern pop will eat itself fitter and then some. With a nice mish mash of styles (music wise – I’m not just referring to the singer’s beautiful flouncy hair) and all pervading sense of fun…a really nifty band. The False Dots are DC regulars, North London mover shakers and all round top cats, embracing skanked up punky pop, Ian Dury like social observation and a simultaneously frantic and droll sense of fun. We all love a party! Whelligan – again hailing from Merseyside and fine style understated psychedelic pop situationists embracing a lot of great stuff popular in the Liverpool area, from the Bunnymen to the Beatles, China Crisis to Teardrop Explodes. Excellent songs too.
