The Butterflywheel + The Anderson Tapes + Rosemary + The New Republic + DJ Sue

The Butterflywheel –  Highly accomplished stuff with a strong image (sort of fairy Volk cum steam punk) and a great singer- 2 girls (vocals, bass), 2 guys (drums, guitar), plus some doubling up on cold wave synths… dark electronica, Doorsy rock and a kind of Grace Slick/Patti Smith vibe vocally. Together, they craft an immersive soundscape that transcends entertainment, connecting audiences to something greater and timeless, sparking liberation and self-discovery.” The Anderson Tapes- Blissfull, gently ebbing shoegaze with some pretty harmony vocals recalling Galaxie 500  gives way to something a bit more c86 and abrasive Raincoats that sorta thing, great stuff. Rosemary – aromatic psych pop supreme, named after the herb and not Mrs West…we think… The New Republic –  Latter day Arctic Monkeys nuances delivered with some crisp pop tropes and a lot of playfulness in the tunes.
