Slide Oasis – Gallagher bruvs paid excellent tribute by these top boys who were very happy to come and fill a short notice to come and entertain you in Camden’s finest pub venue. Tinkers Lane – Honeyed country toned melodic rock pop with a lovely lilt and a warm Sunshine glow. Nice. Scarsdale Fats – a culturally diverse group of lads who grew up in Edinburgh and are now based in SE London. Formed at Mungo’s (their singer’s) dad’s memorial as a tribute band, initially performing covers, the incredible reception they received sparked something in them to know this was their calling in life. Fast forward 2 years and they’ve written a collection of songs that they performed at some of London’s best venues and even Glastonbury. Scarsdale Fats was Mungo’s dad’s alias, so their name is a tribute to him. Their music blends ‘70s psychedelia, ‘90s grunge, and modern alternative rock instrumentation. With driving drum lines and spacey twin-lead guitars, they create a sonic foundation that supports lyrics exploring themes of transience and mortality. Their songs transition from electrifying, high-energy riffs to Gilmour-esque guitar solos, into heartfelt rhythmic ballads, each evoking a spectrum of reflective, melancholic emotions. The Vandalis – alterno rock with post punk indeed post modern touches – check out their twisted pop nugget ‘Libertines’ – and much more tonight.
